Mountain biking

Morzine has long been recognised as a mountain biking paradise. Spanning 2 countries, 13 alpine towns, 26 cable-cars / lifts and some 1000km of marked tracks & paths you can do a weeks mountain biking without doing the same route twice.

From easy day rides, lung-bursting cross-country routes to the fixed world cup downhill courses, the choice is yours, and there's even a full 110km circuit taking in the entire Portes du Soleil area.

Our chalet sits right next to some of the official biking routes, making riding from the door an easy proposition.

By using the lift system you can take much of the climbing strain out of your biking, and full passes mean you're not restricted to any single route or area. If you don't want to bring your own bike then there are several bike hire shops in Morzine offering an excellent range of bikes from beginners bikes to finely-honed machines for experts.

The 'Pass'Portes-du-Soleil' event 27th - 29th June 2008

Once a year the area hosts this annual event which is an epic day-long tour of the whole Portes-du-Soleil. It's a great weekend and a great opportunity for a group of x/c bikers to have a fantastic days riding in the alps. Take a look at the official event web-site for further details.
