If you have a car or don't mind using the local bus network, then you have several places nearby that make for an interesting day out.

Further afield

Chamonix is just over an hour away and lies at the foot of the huge Mont-blanc massif. From here you can take the cable car up to the Aguille de Midi station at over 3000m for a breath-taking view of the knife-edge ridges and vast glaciers at very close quarter! The town is a mecca for serious climbers and a must see for those touring europe and eager for a spectacular view of Mont-Blanc.

Lac Leman (commonly known as Lake Geneva) is only 40 minutes away from Morzine and has a number of fabulous spa towns and lake side villages to see. Evian (of the mineral water fame) is a popular spa town option, while Yvoire is regularly voted one of Frances' prettiest villages, awash with magnificent flora it's a great place to enjoy a decadent lunch by the lake. Montreaux, Geneva & Lausanne may all be in Switzerland, but at between 1hr 15 and 2 hrs away, are very chic destinations for a day out.

Medieval Annecy with its beautiful old town and own stunning lake is a great place for a day's sightseeing, serious shopping in its many French chic boutiques and more commercial shops or café-bar cruising. The Lake offers clear water swimming, pedelows, a man made beach and motor boats. You can also hire a road bike and follow the (flat!) cycle lane to the end of the lake (20km)! The many shops fall onto the lakeside, so you can do both!

If you're staying as a larger group then we'll be happy to discuss a group outing using our own transport at an extra charge if feasible.
