All of these sports & activities are easily accessible in Morzine. We keep details on most of them at the chalet and will help you book any of them during your stay.

Adventure sports & golf

Para-gliding

There are several Para-gliding schools in Morzine, which offer a huge range of flying experiences from introductory tandem flights up to advanced week long courses. Further details are available from www.morzineparapente.com - you should budget around £45 for a 1-hour introductory tandem flight.

Treetop Adventure Parks

These are excellent fun for adults & children alike. For around £10 you will enjoy a 2-3 hour treetop challenge, on aerial runways, boardwalks, ropes & swings, all the time safely harnessed on to the secure overhead wires. There are several parks in Morzine & Les Gets to enjoy.

Water skiing

Lake Annecy provides not only a stunningly beautiful location, but also some great water skiing, and for around £55 you will be transported from Morzine to the lake and get a full days activity (including equipment & tuition).

White water rafting

The River Dranse, which runs through Morzine, provides a plentiful supply of water for rafting up to Grade 3 and 4 levels. A short drive takes you to one of the rafting schools that will provide all the equipment & tuition necessary for a thrilling (and wet!) afternoon.

Via Ferrata

Avoriaz hosts a fantastic fixed Via Ferrata route. A guided session across the course will take approx 2-3 hours at a cost of around 50 euros, which inlcudes all equipment hire & your guide.

Canyoning & Cascade adventure

Just 2mins down the valley from our chalet is the Nyon waterfall, which provides the location in Morzine for the sport of Canyoning. Under the watchful eyes of trained guides, you will get your wet suit & helmet on, before absailing, sliding and swimming down the best canyon in the area. Nyon also has a treetop adventure circuit where you can high wire your way around the woods & waterfalls with exhilarating aerial runways thrown in.

Golf

There are two golf courses within 15 minutes of Morzine. Firstly a 9-hole course up towards Avoriaz, where the air is so thin you're ball will fly for miles 'n miles, and secondly an 18-hole course at Les Gets just down the valley. If you're ambitions are even higher then other courses are available at Annecy, Megeve, Chamonix or a real top notch effort at Evian on the shores of Lake Geneva - all are within an hour or so drive. Expect to pay £20 - £40 green fees depending on the course and time of year.
