"The very best of all worlds..the food is fab..you're both so kind, welcoming & endlessly helpful!" The Pratt family (Aug '07)
Morzine is incredibly easy to get to....it's just over an hour from Geneva airport so means you can be here in less than half a day from the UK. Alternatively if you prefer to self-drive it's a straight-forward journey from the French ports and less than 45mins once you leave the motorways.
Our chalet sits approx 5mins drive from the centre of Morzine, so it's very easy to get to the centre of town either by car, bike or on foot. If you are planning a walking or cycling holiday you will not need a car, but families will probably prefer car transport to make sure they can get the most out of the area.
If you are not driving or hiring a car the airport transfer service we use will drop you at our chalet door, and we will contact you to co-ordinate your transfer once you have booked your holiday. Transfer rates vary depending on the number of people in your party, but for budgeting purposes you should allow £25-£30 per person each way.
Several budget & scheduled airlines make daily trips to Geneva. In addition to the more well known names Jet2 now run a fantastic summer service from Leeds / Bradford direct to Geneva that brings yet another chunk of the UK within a few hours reach of alpine paradise. For exact flight schedules & prices contact the airlines directly.
Alternatively, you can try various low-cost on-line agencies such as: www.expedia.co.uk, www.cheapflights.co.uk, www.ebookers.com, www.opodo.co.uk
Morzine lies around 20 miles off the main A40/E25 motorway to Chamonix / Mont Blanc tunnel. This means that we are 550 miles from Calais and according to the A.A. less than 9 hours drive away from your crossing point. If you want some tips on the best route or stopover points on the way, try visiting the A.A. on www.theaa.com who will give you junction by junction route maps at the click of a button, and it's also a pretty good source of general information you'll need for your journey.
If you do plan on driving and want to use the Chunnel, you can reserve your place on-line by contacting www.eurotunnel.com directly. Add Eurotunnel logo
Several Ferry operators give good access onto the French motorway network, and your choice will very much depend on where you are travelling from in the UK. A great place to start is www.ferryinformationservice.co.uk which will give you all the scheduled crossings, links to all the operators and also has a useful 'driving tips' section to help make your journey as safe and stress free as possible.

"Everything felt like home from home.....thank you for being such wonderful hosts "
